Tonight is my last night (online anyway) in Ithaca. I’ll be moving Saturday morning but won’t have access after tonight. I’ll probably post a few more shots once I’m moved, because I haven’t posted all the ones I’ve wanted to in the last few days/weeks. It’s been a difficult, emotional, and photo-inspiring year of growth for me. Thank you all for your comments and suggestions and just for looking :) Peace everyone.

this was the sunrise yesterday morning, view from my bedroom. i have news my friends. i will be leaving ithaca this saturday, so there will not be too many more photos to add…but i’ll leave the blog up of course, for posterity. i’m pretty sure i’ll be starting a new one where i am moving to, since i don’t believe anyone’s doing one yet :)

I’ve been in Ithaca for one year exactly, as of today. Last year was the moving day from hell. It was 104 degree heat index. I will never forget it. Never. Not ever.

at the boathouse restaurant. at first, we just saw two ducks hanging out on the deck outside. then all of a sudden i saw the big duck in the restaurant and right behind her were FIVE ducklings waddling all over the place. oh my god were they cute. but i was kind of freaking because people didn’t seem to notice and i was worried they would get stepped on. but they did not. always over-protective with babies. can’t help it.

last night before the storms began. but they were nothing, really. i was hoping for more torrential rains. being at the edge of a valley, however, means some cool light shows over the hills.

this was the view from my bedroom window the other night. it looked like cornell was on fire. blurry because to get this closeup i had to use the digital zoom, which is much less clear than optical zoom.
