I changed the theme because my photos were getting cut off (and in this version of wordpress you can’t alter the template unless you pay :( ). I like this template better. Looks cleaner and less distracting I think. And my photos fit. Still working on the city blog links.

Here’s a shot of the interior (notice the lovely old woodwork, ceiling and mirrors) of a restaurant/bar called Simeons on the eastern edge of the commons area downtown. The bartender was quite laid back and asked US for advice on relationships :) He was the blurry one. I had a few nice glasses of Gewürztraminer there. Usually a bit more heady than I like, but this one was good. It was from France, but now I can’t remember the vintner. Hrrmmmm.

I have to hand add every link (unless someone can give me the opml export to import here for the city blog blogroll) so it’s taking me some time. Sorry to those of you not added on the list. Starting a new job this week and don’t have a lot of extra time. I’ll get there and thanks for looking :)

A local bar called the Pourhouse in Tburg, a few minutes from the “city.” They have a great selection of microbrews and local wines from the fingerlakes area.

Here’s a little yard I thought looked inviting, in the Fall Creek area of the city. Very mellow and friendly sort of neighborhood, with the added benefit of having an incredible falls within walking distance.
